How Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Gradually Claims Everything from Our Lives
Introduction
At some point in our lives, we have all been exposed to the life experiences of various prior drug and alcohol addicts. And they all have a common edge to their stories. It all starts with them ‘just trying out’ a particular substance or drink.
As time passes, consuming the substance becomes an exercise upon which the person becomes overly dependent upon, digging an early grave for them. Everything which occurs in-between becomes a blur while snatching away everything that the person had, leaving him beyond the scope of repair.
When we focus on an addiction problem, be it alcohol or drug addiction, we often skip out these particular parts, i.e. which lie in-between trying the drug for the first time and curing the addiction. Nonetheless, for us to understand how alcoholism and drug abuse snatches everything that we hold dear in our lives, we must focus on the events which occur in-between them.

As his life becomes even stressful and his peers cut off their relationships with him, he finally understands how his addiction has become a problem for him. However, it is too late now. And it all occurred just because he wanted to appear ‘cool' before his so-called friends who insisted that he try the substance out, just one time.
