What are the reasons for drug addiction?
There is no certain reason defined for any addiction, it
can be anything. For drug addiction we can see – it can be family back ground
or family history, environmental factors, genetic reasons, peer pressure, experiments
at young age or other influences such as work pressure. In a family where
drugs, alcohol, cigarettes or tobacco are consumed openly, there is a
possibility that children will learn by watching them. This could be dangerous
if the children are consuming regularly and in good quantity so this may a
reasons for drug addiction. It is witnessed that these days despite multiple
restrictions, people consume cigarette, gutka, tobacco or alcohol openly/carelessly
in open areas so the teens may try to imitate as a part of fun. In fact some
thinkers speculate that addiction in humans is based on genetics such as
smoking, chewing tobacco or consuming alcohol. To support this fact, we may see
people are consuming and offering others and these are tobacco, hukkah, alcohol
and bidi. In this ultra modern time the way to celebrate any occasion has
changed completely. They prefer consuming alcohol, smack, cocaine and marijuana
in the name of celebration in late night parties. As we now that the children
are very inquisitive in their nature so they always try to taste, try, explore
and feel everything they see. So they see and observe incidents such as smoking
helps in mind relaxation, consuming alcohol as a part of enjoyment, consuming
cocaine and other drugs to feel high and tobacco consumption for agility. So,
the reason for drug addiction can be anything and that depends on the situation
and the abuser because it is directly connected to human brain that allow the
body for intake, inhale and inject.
